Inspiration
Mother
Two people who were once in love, stare blankly across the room
The relationship they took for granted spiralling into doom
What act or deed could cast this bond into the gravest doubt?
Why once where there was only love is this room now without?
As quietness turns to silence, all other noise forsaken
It seems as though the life within, from these two souls is taken
Where once they shared each other’s arms, in solitude they sit
Where once their tongues shared many tales, these tales must now be writ
Where once were smiles across their face, expressions fail to form
Where once their bodies inseparable, now fire keeps them warm
But do not fear the worst for them; there love is like no other
For every child in times of need will still cry for their Mother.
